Hey! My name is Sarah but you can just call me Sparkles (Or Mama Sparkles if you prefer )!

The main thing you should know about me is that I eat, sleep, and breathe horses. I draw them, I write about them, I RP them, and as a little girl I even pretended that I was one of them. I love them. I am obsessed; and if you don't like that, tough.

I suffer from both Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Due to the severe, debilitating nature of these illnesses I had to give up my dreams and withdraw from college in early 2009 where I was majoring in Equine Business Management. I have been homebound ever since and am completely dependent on my parents. I am currently awaiting to hear the decision regarding my 3rd appeal from the Social Security Disability council. Although applying for Disability is a huge blow to my pride, it is the only chance I'll ever have to "support" myself; unless a cure for these diseases is found.

I share my life with two extremely adorable house bunnies, Willow and Loaf (who are my fur-children), and a very large, goofy German Shepherd named Ayla. Also living here with me are my mother and brother, (who also suffer from CFS), my dad, and my brother's girlfriend, Amber. Despite physical and financial hardships we are a tight-knit, crude, quirky bunch; and we're always laughing about something.

I try to be prompt when it comes to commenting and replying, but my symptoms significantly limit my ability to do this. However I do read every single message, even if I don't respond immediately! I consider the equine community here on dA as a part of my family. Without the kindness, love, and understanding of these very special people, I wouldn't be able to carry on. Every time I fall to my knees, they pick me back up and give me hope again. To say that I love them would be an under statement.
